Jeff Lamont, Managing Director
Jeff brings with him more than 8 years experience in the European Telecom and IT markets where he has had responsibility for operations in 11 European countries. Prior to his career in Europe he worked for more than 7 years as a successful entrepreneur in the US.
Through the key positions he held in business development and marketing for both Orange and LUUP, Jeff built knowledge of and relationships in the European Telecom and IT markets.
As Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Business Development at LUUP, a 55 person Norwegian based IT and mobile finance company, Jeff was responsible for the strategy and all commercial operations. Jeff opened offices for LUUP in the UK and Germany and managed multiple country sales teams. He oversaw growth in B2B sales of more than 600%.
During his 4 years at Orange, one of the 3 largest mobile network operators in Europe, Jeff served in a number of key roles. As country Vice President of Marketing, where Jeff had a $20 million P&L responsibility, he initiated sales and marketing programs resulting in a 30% increase in number of subscribers. Additionally, as a Director at Orange, Jeff led product marketing activities in 9 European countries. These included the UK, France, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.
In the US in the 1990s Jeff co-founded 2 companies: a commercial painting company that grew to be one of the largest in the Chicago area with more than 50 employees and an import/export company trading between the US, Europe, and Africa. Additionally, Jeff spent a summer in Investment Banking as an Associate with Goldman Sachs in their corporate finance group.
Jeff holds a BA with honors in economics and history from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ron Landthorn, Vice President Business Development
Ron has more than 25 years successful sales management and general management experience in systems, software and semiconductors and for the past five years served as the sole North American partner for one of the oldest and most well respected European business development firms. Through this and prior assignments Ron has developed a real understanding of the challenges, issues and potential pitfalls facing North American technology firms that are considering international expansion.
As Senior Vice President of Business Development at The EMS Group, Ltd, a 28-year-old UK based European business development firm, Ron was responsible for generating all of the company's client relationships and client revenue and built an extensive network of leading venture capitalists and serial entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley and throughout North America.
Prior successes included senior sales management positions with the Advanced Products (SPARC) Division of Fujitsu Microelectronics, MIPS Computer Systems, Computer Consoles/ICL and others. He began his career and gained early management experience with Procter & Gamble as a process control engineer and manufacturing manager.
In addition, Ron spent time as an entrepreneur/business owner in the international motorsports arena as CEO and owner of one of the most successful and well-known formula car racing school organizations with branches and affiliates in the US, Canada, England and Japan. He successfully sold that business to a private investment group prior to joining The EMS Group but retains strong relationships in top-level motorsports in the US and UK.
Ron holds a BS in Electrical Engineering with honors from The Ohio State University and served as a Captain in the US Army Signal Corps.

Shafiq Mumani,
Director, Executive Search & Selection
Shafiq is an accomplished executive with over 21 years experience in Telecom & IT. He spent 12 years in sales and the last three years in recruitment. His sales experience started at Glenayre in bid management where he had global responsibility for technical and commercial aspects of bids. Following that he was Regional Sales Manager and Channel Manager for Western Canada and Western USA at Castleton/Newbridge, a provider of Voice over Data (VOIP, Frame Relay & ATM) products.
He rejoined Glenayre in the UK as Sales Director responsible for messaging switches, base station, voicemail and VAS sales in EMEA. His next role was as Business Development Director, EMEA for Contec Innovations, a provider of mobile services delivery and content management platform.
Shafiq’s approach to business development is consultative, ensuring he understands his customer’s needs and goals. His target customers have included Vodafone, BT, Orange, Telefonica, KPN, Telenor amongst others; partners have included HP and Nortel.
He applies the same consultative approach to Executive Search, ensuring he understands the needs, goals and future growth plans of his clients in order to deliver accomplished candidates matching the client’s requirements. He is a strong networker attending industry events, such as the Mobile World Congress, and is part of organizations such as Mobile Monday (MoMo) London and JCI.
Shafiq has lived in Uganda, Sweden, Canada and the UK and is fluent in English and Swedish. This cultural diversity helps in dealing with candidates throughout Europe and greater EMEA.
Shafiq has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering, University of British Columbia, Canada.
